# WC - APG myGESTIÓN now brings your myGESTIÓN items into WooCommerce

We have just released version 2.0.0 of our premium plugin [**WC - APG myGESTIÓN**](/shop/wc-apg-mygestion), and the jump in version number is no accident, because for the first time the catalogue travels in the opposite direction to the usual one.

Until now the plugin took orders and customers from the shop to the ERP, and brought back stock and prices for the items that were already set up in both places.

What was missing was precisely the first thing anybody who has just connected their myGESTIÓN asks: what happens to the items that are in the ERP and are not in the shop yet.

### Importing new items

The plugin looks in myGESTIÓN for the items whose code does not exist as a SKU in WooCommerce and sets them up all by itself, with whatever frequency you choose and, if you prefer once a day, at the time you tell it.

And it always creates them **as drafts, never published**, which is the decision everything else depends on.

An item from the ERP brings no photographs, no sales copy and none of the categories you use to organise your shop, so publishing it straight away would fill your catalogue with half-finished pages and, with luck, you would find out through a visit.

That way they sit waiting in the product list, with everything myGESTIÓN knows about them already in place, so that all you have to do is complete them and press publish.

### What each item brings

Everything WooCommerce knows how to store natively is read from the myGESTIÓN record, and each thing ends up where it belongs:

- **Code**: becomes the product’s SKU, which is the piece the two of them later recognise each other by.
- **Description**: becomes the name, and the shop description becomes the text of the page.
- **Price**: it is read from the same field you already have configured for price synchronisation, whether that is the retail price, the franchise price or the one myGESTIÓN reserves for the online shop, with VAT included or without it.
- **Stock**: it arrives with the item, subtracting what is pending delivery if you have it configured that way.
- **Family and subfamily**: they become the product’s category, respecting the hierarchy and creating them in WooCommerce if they do not exist yet.
- **Brand, barcode, weight and dimensions**: each one to its native WooCommerce field, so that shipping is calculated properly from day one.
- **Tax class and low stock notification**: the first from the item’s VAT rate, the second from its minimum stock.

And the marks the ERP already has in place are respected: an item that has been discontinued is not imported, one with no stock control does not manage inventory in the shop, and nor does a kit, because the ones that move its stock are its components.

There is also one mark that changes everything and that almost nobody expects us to respect: myGESTIÓN flags which items go to the shop, and by default only those are brought over. That is the difference between importing the references you want to sell and finding your entire catalogue sitting in drafts.

### Variable products, with their variations

If the item has attributes in myGESTIÓN, it does not come in as a single product: it comes in as a **variable product**, with its sizes and its colours, and with one variation for each combination.

Each variation arrives with its own reference as the SKU, its price and its barcode, and the parent is left with no inventory of its own, which is how it should be so that the shop does not treat it as out of stock while there is stock underneath.

This relies on the four attribute tables of the myGESTIÓN API, without asking you to fill anything in or to follow any convention when naming the codes.

### The VAT rates, assigned by you

myGESTIÓN stores VAT as a number and WooCommerce does not store rates in the product but tax classes whose rates live in its own settings, so the translation between the two is never obvious.

That is why you now have a mapping table, just like the one for order statuses: on the left each VAT rate from your myGESTIÓN and on the right the WooCommerce class that corresponds to it.

If you do not fill it in, the plugin tries to work it out by comparing the rate, and if it does not find one it leaves the standard class. What it never does is create new classes or rates on its own: taxes have legal consequences and that is a decision for a person, not for an automation.

### The prices, with their frequency and their time

The version’s other new feature is smaller and you had been asking for it for a while.

Prices were updated only once a day and at a fixed small-hours time that could not be changed, something that is quite inconvenient if you change price lists in the middle of the morning or if you work with prices that move several times a day.

They now have the same list of frequencies as the inventory, from a few minutes to once a week, and a time field that appears when you choose once a day.

### Conclusion

Thanks to these two new features, connecting a new shop to a myGESTIÓN that has been running for years stops being an afternoon of copying and pasting references by hand.

As always, we hope you find it useful for your projects and we look forward to your comments and contributions.

**Enjoy it!**
