We change the name of some plugins

Today we have decided to change the name of some of the plugins from APG so as to simplify them and bring them into line with the new rules for the names of plugins for WooCommerce that WordPress established.

Given that the registration of new plugins for WooCommerce containing the word WooCommerce in their title is no longer allowed, we have taken the decision to unify and simplify the name of three of our plugins:

1. WooCommerce – APG SMS Notifications will from now on be called WC - APG SMS Notifications.
2. WooCommerce – APG Free Postcode/State/Country Shipping will from now on be called WC - APG Free Shipping.
3. WooCommerce – APG Weight and Postcode/State/Country Shipping will from now on be called WC - APG Weight Shipping.

Given that the new plugins for WooCommerce we have published started with “WC - APG“, thanks to this change of names we have unified the names of all of them, discarding the old “WooCommerce – APG“.

These name changes have already been applied to 100% of the content of our website and of the web pages of each of them in the official WordPress repository. We have also updated the translations and the header images of the plugins with the new names.

We hope the new names are to their users’ liking and that they find them easier to search for and to refer to.

What do you think of the change?
