WooCommerce 2.2.0 has been available for a few hours now; in fact version 2.2.1 has just been released with a couple of fixes for errors present in the new version 2.2.
For the time being we recommend that all our clients and readers do not update until they are completely sure of the compatibility of all the WooCommerce plugins they have installed. You must also be absolutely certain that the theme you have installed in WordPress is fully compatible with the new version of WooCommerce. Then, and only then, do we recommend updating to the new version 2.2.
As for the new features, they are all under the bonnet and are very interesting above all for WooCommerce plugin developers, so externally we are going to find practically no difference; even so, and once we have made sure of the compatibility of our plugins and template, it is always advisable to update to the latest version, above all for the sake of the security of our WordPress.
What we can tell you already is that all the WooCommerce plugins from APG are 100% compatible with WooCommerce 2.2.0.
In this way WC - APG Weight Shipping, WC - APG Free Shipping and WC - APG SMS Notifications can all be used with complete reliability in both WooCommerce 2.1 and WooCommerce 2.2.
