The work we did
Online copy shop built on WooCommerce for Cópialo Todo, with a single product reprogrammed from top to bottom.
The brief
A copy shop sells something the customer brings along with them: their PDFs. The price does not come out of a catalogue but out of how many pages it has, how it is bound and how many copies are ordered. WooCommerce’s variable product does not come anywhere near that, so it had to be rewritten.
What we did
We developed a plugin of our own that turned the standard variable product into a print configurator: several PDFs uploaded per order, file previews, volume discounts on the binding, and prices and discounts worked out as you go. The files did not stay on the shop’s server: they were uploaded to and managed in a cloud of its own, with clean-ups and moves automated according to the status of each order.
The result
A one-product shop that in fact sold as many combinations as it had customers.
