The work we did
Motorcycle route portal built on WordPress out of the original content imported from Drupal, with an online shop on WooCommerce selling complete experiences.
The brief
Ruralka On Road had years of routes published in Drupal and wanted two things at once: to keep all of it and to start selling what until then it had only been writing about. A CMS migration that loses content is a failed migration, so the route archive had to arrive on the other side intact.
What we did
We imported the content from Drupal and rebuilt it on WordPress, route by route, with its stages and its artwork. On top of that we set up WooCommerce to sell complete experiences —accommodation, food and rides guided by experienced bikers—, so that reading about a route and booking it stopped being two different places.
The result
The route archive survived the change of CMS and went from being only content to being a catalogue as well.
